Day 1 – Arrival in Rome & Evening Stroll through Baroque Rome

Welcome to the Eternal City! Upon arrival in Rome, you’ll be greeted with the warmth of Italy’s historic capital. After checking into your hotel, the adventure begins with a guided evening walk through some of Rome’s most iconic Baroque piazzas. As the sun sets, you’ll stroll past Bernini’s fountains in Piazza Navona, marvel at the columns of the Pantheon, and climb the Spanish Steps. Toss a coin in the glowing Trevi Fountain to ensure your return to this timeless city. The gentle buzz of scooters and clinking wine glasses sets the scene for an unforgettable first night.

Day 2 – Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter’s Basilica

Today is a deep dive into the heart of Catholicism and artistic genius. Skip-the-line entry grants you early access to the Vatican Museums, where centuries of priceless art come alive. Stand beneath Michelangelo’s awe-inspiring ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, a masterpiece of vision and emotion. Then enter the world’s largest church—St. Peter’s Basilica—where bronze sculptures, mosaic domes, and towering marble columns awe every visitor. Your afternoon is free to enjoy Rome’s cafes, boutiques, or perhaps a stroll along the Tiber River.

Day 3 – Journey to Florence via Piazzale Michelangelo

Depart Rome and travel north through the rolling landscapes of Lazio and Tuscany. En route, stop at Piazzale Michelangelo for a sweeping panoramic view of Florence’s red-tiled skyline. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of Florence’s historic center. Admire the architectural harmony of the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), stand in the shadow of Giotto’s Campanile, and take in the open-air sculpture museum of Piazza della Signoria. Feel the heartbeat of the Renaissance in every corner of this city where art, culture, and commerce flourished.

Day 4 – Day Trip to Cinque Terre by Train

Embark on a full-day excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cinque Terre, a string of five colorful fishing villages perched on the Ligurian coast. Travel by train through tunnels carved into seaside cliffs, emerging into pastel-painted towns with sun-drenched harbors. In Vernazza, climb up to the Doria Castle for panoramic sea views. In Monterosso, lounge on pebble beaches and taste fresh anchovies or pesto. Riomaggiore offers charming alleyways and seaside trails. It’s a sensory feast of salty air, lemon trees, and the sound of waves crashing against ancient rocks.

Day 5 – Bologna’s Flavors and Venice Arrival

Leave Tuscany behind and enter the Emilia-Romagna region, home to Italy’s most beloved culinary treasures. In Bologna, a guided walking tour leads you beneath medieval porticoes to Piazza Maggiore and the Basilica of San Petronio. Savor traditional specialties like mortadella and tortellini during a tasting session. Later, journey northeast toward Venice-Mestre, where the allure of canals and bridges begins to beckon. Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Day 6 – Discovering Venice: Palaces, Piazzas & Hidden Corners

Cross the lagoon into Venice’s historical center. A guided walking tour starts in St. Mark’s Square, the city’s heart. Enter the gilded St. Mark’s Basilica with its shimmering mosaics, then explore the Doge’s Palace—a Gothic masterpiece filled with stories of power, politics, and intrigue. Cross the Bridge of Sighs and imagine the fate of prisoners glimpsing their last view of Venice. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to sip a spritz, shop for Murano glass, or get lost in the romantic maze of canals.

Day 7 – Return to Rome via Siena

Travel through the Tuscan countryside, dotted with cypress trees and hilltop towns, until you reach Siena. Here, a guided tour reveals the beauty of the city’s medieval streets and the grandeur of Piazza del Campo, where the famous Palio horse race is held. Visit Siena’s magnificent striped cathedral and admire its rich Gothic interior. Later, continue back to Rome for your final night in Italy’s capital.

Day 8 – Departure from Rome

Your Italian journey concludes with a heartfelt “arrivederci.” After breakfast, transfer to the airport, taking with you unforgettable memories of art, history, food, and the warmth of Italian hospitality.
